Our missions

REPRESENTING THE TRADE

PROFLUID defends the interests of its members whenever there are regulatory, technical or economic challenges occur. The latest news topics to have rallied the Association include:

  • The launch of a communication and awareness media campaign on counterfeiting (in partnership with France’s Union of Manufacturers UNIFAB)
  • The implementation of the Law for the Modernisation of the Economy and the implementation of shorter payment terms for our trades
  • The application of the Eco-design Directive for Energy-using Products 2005/32/EC (EuP) to our products (circulators pumps, pumps, valves).

Standardisation is a competitiveness component for our trades; PROFLUID keeps a watchful eye on over one hundred standards and participates in some fifteen Product Standardisation Committees. PROFLUID also attends the Specific Committees of the NF certification for sanitary and building valves, for both water and gas.

NETWORKING

With the organisation of meetings focusing on our main markets (industry, energy, water cycle and construction), of supper meetings centred on news topics, or even our annual conference, PROFLUID is a forum facilitating exchanges between professionals of the sector.

Through our presence, whether direct or via our members, in the working groups set up by PROFLUID's partner organisations (trade association for sustainable heating 'Energies & Avenir', French Gas Association (AFG), Association Scientifique et Technique pour l'Eau et l'Environnement (ASTEE), etc.), our members can be sure of always being informed on the current issues of these markets.

TAILORED SERVICES

The Association offers many services which are tailored to meet everyone’s specific needs, and designed with the help of experts gathered in working groups chaired by PROFLUID:

  • Drafting and circulation of many professional guidelines in the technical and legal areas (REACH, ATEX, Contractual Risk Management, etc.). Depending on the topic, the publication of a guideline may be followed by free training, available to members.
  • Facilitating Clubs to reinforce your competitiveness: Purchasing Club, Export Club, with the implementation of specific tasks
  • Provision of a legal service to listen to you and issue personalised advice on your customer/supplier contractual relationships.
  • Pooling of purchases of market studies, processing of statistical data on our trades, etc.
